Pregnancy is a time during which women can experience many changes in their bodies, and some physical TLC is often needed for mum. That’s where Melissa can assist. She is the principal Physiotherapist of The Womens Practice, and has dedicated herself to women’s health. Melissa’s specialty is to identify non-invasive solutions to many common, yet frustrating symptoms and aliments that can occur with Women of all ages.
Melissa, as a mother of four herself, understands the different needs of women both pre and post pregnancy.
Melissa can provide assistance in the following areas:
- Pelvic Floor strengthening and repair
- Pregnancy related Pelvic Pain
- Pregnancy related back pain
- Post surgical scarring and pain (Caesarean, Episiotomy)
- Post-natal Pelvic pain, coccyx pain

Melissa has a Bachelor of physiotherapy from the University of Queensland and a post Graduate certificate in Pelvic Floor and Continence from the University of Melbourne. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science at Griffith University.
Before opening The Women’s Practice, Melissa was the senior contracting Physiotherapist at Mater Mothers Hospital Redlands and Mater Mothers Hospital South Brisbane.
